Josh "The Matrix" Judas - Black Knight Warriors

NBA equivalent= The Matrix (Marion)

The first week of the season is usually one for working out the kinks.  Air balls, missed lay-ups and
hyperventilating are quite frequent during the first stretch of games as players try to repair the damage done to their bodies after a summer of barbeque, beer bongs and slo-pitch. For some the transition is a little easier.  As is true for this seasons first POTW, Josh Judas.  JJ averaged 24 pts over Black Knights first three game 39% of his teams total scoring, leading the Knights to a 2-1 start.  He is currently averaging over 25 a game and is the main reason why BK could make a serious run at the title this year.

This young star burst onto the scene out of nowhere four years ago with the Jr’s, where he gave two solid seasons to the program.  He then was signed by the expansion Knights where he was one of the best players on the hardwood last year.  A true blue collar player, during the day he can be found hoisting couches and refrigerators on his shoulders, while at night he you can find him on the court punishing out-of-shape government workers.  A true team player he has even packed on a few pounds since his rookie season with Black Knight in order to fit in better with his teammates.  When asked to comment on recent weight gain Judas commented, “I was sick of being teased by my teammates for being in good physical shape- they would point and laugh and call me skinny.”  Well sorry to burst your bubble kid but as long as your on the same team as Josh Campbell, you’ll always be known as the thin Josh- no matter how many pounds you pack on.

Josh Judas is the Matrix of the YBA- an undersized power forward with amazing quickness, great rebounding, and soft hands around the hoop. Lets just hope his teammates don’t overwork him this year.  If they can leave him with a little gas in the tank for the playoffs you just might see Josh hoisting something other than furniture on his shoulder this May; a YBA championship.

Till next time this is Joe Mama saying stay sexy Yellowknife.
