Josh Judas - Black Knight Warriors

So the committee has returned from the east stronger but fatter than ever. After spending countless evenings in two-star Soviet hotels sipping warm Russian beer and watching Ukrainian pro-basketball on fuzzy cable TV, it’s time to get off the sausage and cheese diet and back into POTW.
This week’s bit is on the boy that was. In his first year playing outside the Junior’s starless North Carolina-style offence, Josh Judas has packed on the quality pounds needed to bang with the big boys and taken his rightful place atop the league’s elite. To be named player of the week in question Jumpin’ Josh pumped in 28 against his old mates and another 31 to help the Knights topple a rejuvenated Ringers squad.
Unquestionably the year’s most productive free-agent signing, this powerful small forward has been slipping between defenders and getting to the rack pretty much whenever he wants.
Sure, you’ll hear the odd naysayer whine about Judas’ game, saying something to the effect of “But I know exactly what he’s going to do. He’s going to get into the lane, spin across the lane and scoop it off the glass.” But the committee must remind those people “it don’t matter if you can’t stop it.” And, so far, nobody’s been able to lay a claim of containment on the man.
Maybe even more impressive is the quiet way in which he does it all. It doesn’t matter if he’s just made the same guy look like he’s invisible on defense five times in a row; you’ll hear nothing more than the swishing of Judas’ XXL shorts as he jogs back on defense.
It’s that kind of quiet leadership a team full of bad attitudes like BK needs. Now if he can only teach his teammates it’s bad manners to invite opposing players out for a drink after a game then head home after 15 minutes, he’d really be accomplishing something.
