New This Season – Team Cores & Player Draft
This season we are looking at a new way of building teams that gives players the option to sign up with people they already play with, while still making sure there is a place for players who don’t already have a team.
Players can register as part of a team core of up to 8 players. Those players will stay together on the same team, and the remaining roster spots will be filled through the YKBA draft. A team core can be smaller than 8 players, but 8 is the maximum number that can be protected together before the draft.
Players can also register individually and enter the draft. You do not need to find a team before registering. We will also allow players to request to be placed with one or two friends and will do our best to accommodate those requests while keeping the teams balanced.
Once registration closes, YKBA will determine the final number of teams and roster sizes based on how many players have registered. The draft will then be used to fill the remaining spots on each team.
The goal is simple: let people play with some of the guys they already enjoy playing with, make it easy for new or individual players to join the league, and still give us a way to build competitive and reasonably balanced teams.
